PSAT Score 1790
May SAT Score 1820
Up but still a long way to go.
Disneyguy where did you take the online etymology course? Thanks

S did better
PSAT 213 ( CR 68 M 69 W 76) He had Integrated Math I and II in 6th and
7th grade so he never had a proper geometry class.

SAT 2180 (CR 690 M 740 W 750)

Improved:

PSAT: 219
CR - 71
M - 72
W - 76 (notice this is my best score)

SAT: 2250
CR - 800
M - 770 one wrong
W - 680 wha....? Freaking 7 essay!! >:(

Pleased to say I did a bit better.
On this year's PSAT I got a 214-- CR=76, M=72 and W=66
On the May 3rd SAT I scraped by with a 2210, CR=720, M=800, W=690.
YES! However, since I live in Washington (State), I'm not sure if I have any luck with national merit. I have a nasty feeling I'm either going to barely scrape the cutoff or be one below.

P.S. I studied my behind off (read: I took a dozen full-length practice tests) before I took the SAT. Apparently it paid off.

BTW, great job to everyone else! Those are amazing scores, regardless if the rose or dropped from the PSAT!

junior PSAT:
54 - CR
57 - M
54 - W

May 2008 SAT:
660: CR
640: M
600: W
8 Essay

Junior PSAT: 228
CR 80
M 72
W 76

March SAT: 227
CR 800
M 770
W 700

May SAT: 2300
CR 750
M 750
W 800

Stayed in the same range for PSAT and SAT. (However sophomore PSAT was 201 and leaped to 228. Summer prep course between sophomore and junior years probably played a part; wanted NM status.)

It was through Northwestern University's Center for Talent Development, Learning Links distance education program (whew). Essentially, it is conducted through email with a textbook that you buy....though, in all honesty, you could just buy the book and not do the class and all the benefits would be there (with the exception of a teacher correspondent and motivation).

In any case, here's a link to the class.

An online etymology course sounds like good advice for my daughter, a sophomore. Thanks! What college do you hope to attend?

Vassar College and Princeton University are tied for me right now...

disney, can you provide the name of the textbook?

10 PSAT: 212
11 PSAT: 202
11 SAT: 2190

Yeah, pretty messed up...

I've seen steady improvement.

Sophomore PSAT: 216
CR: 69
M 76
W 71

Junior PSAT: 223

CR 79
M 75
W 69

May SAT: 2350

CR 770
M 780
W 800

I think I am definitely an exception to a rule in regards to PSAT/SAT score relation.

Mine went up:
188 PSAT
2000 SAT :)

I did worse.

I had a 180 something on the PSAT
1730 on the SAT. The only thing I improved on was CR...

I didn't study too much, I did 4 or 5 practice tests and TONS of SAT Q's of the Day.

I was pretty disapointed.

better, soph psat=199, junior psat=209, march sat=2180, no additional prep at any time

psat sophmore :162 (67 m, 51cr, 44wr)
psat junior: 194 (70 m, 55cr, 69wr)
1st SAT: 2050 (780 m, 640 cr, 630 wr)
2nd SAT: 2170 (740 m, 710cr, 720 wr)
2210 Superscore
HUGE IMPROVEMENT

Mine went down : (
Sophomore PSAT: 190 something
Junior PSAT: 224
SAT (first time): 2040

Better.

Freshman PSAT: 157
Sophomore PSAT: 191
Junior PSAT: 201
March SAT: 2050
May SAT: 2220

Significant increases only between freshman/sophomore PSAT and junior PSAT/May SAT.

192-->1960. My writing went down, but CR and Math went up. I'd lose another 100 points in writing if it'd bring me up to a 1430/1600, to be honest.

My math went up, but my CR went down :(, my writing stayed the same.

10th grade PSATs: 70 M, 80 CR, 72 W Total= 222
11th grade PSATs: 72 M, 79 CR, 73 W Total= 224
SAT: 740 M, 680 CR, 730 W Total= 1150

Overall, I'm pretty pleased--especially with the math (I've had some trouble in math and the fact that it went up, even just a bit, shows I've been improving). I'm hoping when I take the SAT again I can get my CR score up--considering how well I did on the PSATs, I feel like I should be able to do that if I study.

Worse, so far.

216 PSAT, 2080 SAT. But I'm retaking it in June and hoping to break 2200, lol.

Hey poetrygirl - still need to work on that math :) I think you made a 2150 on your SAT rather than an 1150.
