So I scored a 2250, should I retake?
Also, I got a 700 on math I, and a 750 on math II, should I retake?

It may be important to let you guys know that I'm aiming for very competetive schools...

It certainly would not hurt to retake those. Competitive schools are always a gamble, so you should inflate your stats as high as possible.

If your 2250 was your first and only sitting, you may very well up your super score by taking it again.

By ‘very competitive schools’, you mean the Ivys or the Ivy equivalents (MIT, Stanford…) then yeah, you should retake the SAT. If the course you’re doing needs a lot of math or bio, like engineering or premed, then you should retake math 2 and bio, depending on how much you’re going to study those subjects. But honestly, for most schools, 2250 is really good, and so is a 750 on math 2…For the record, my friend’s sister got into Cornell and UCB engineering with a 750 Math 2 score…

Thanks guys!

That is already a very high score and I am not sure how much of a boost retaking it would give you. In other words, I’m not sure whether the boost outbalances the time and effort. It may be more worthwhile to use that time to craft an outstanding essay. Or study for other things.

Should I retake any of the subject tests?

“I got a 2250” isn’t all that helpful, actually. If you got 2250 by scoring 750/750/750, you can stop, really. Improving on a 750 is just gilding the lily. On the other hand, if your 2250 is 660/790/800 and you’re applying to Ivies and their peers, you’ll want to get a better Critical Reading score for sure.

I agree with sikorsky! Also if anything I would retake the SAT2s they are on the lowside comparing to your sat 1
