Just a few quick questions!

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to write this.
But-

Are any teacher from all four years of high school allowed to write recs? Say I had a teacher freshman year but that's it. But I stay after school and visit her and sometimes I clean her room (for in-school volunteer hours). Is she allowed to write me a rec? She tells me she's not.

What do colleges value more? Recs or a rigorous schedule?

What if you did ED at a college but they didn't give you a scholarship? Are you forced to pay the tuition even if you don't have enough money?

You can get a rec from her but one from a more recent class would probably carry more weight.

It is generally rigor but it depends on the school. Google Common Data Set [school name] and look in Section C7. It shows what weight each component is used in admission.

Not being able to afford the cost is the one reason you can turn down an ED admission. That being said, do you really think you have a chance at good FA or merit scholarships at your ED school? Look at that carefully.

wow i didn’t know they provide a common data set. thanks!
