<p>Hey if I go to UM I will be there on a scholarship, so I'm wondering if you have to keep a certain gpa to keep it.</p>
<p>See my problem is that I'm interested in both Media Management and Meteorology.....so I would like to double major in those 2.........is that possible???</p>
<p>But, if I have to keep a certain gpa than I would not double major so any answers would be appreciated?</p>

<p>Whether or not a double-major is possible will probably be determined by your advisor (maybe you call it something different) but it seems do able. But I'm assuming that Media Management could lead to a career in broadcasting...so like a weatherperson? if not, then I'm clueless :)</p>
<p>And your advisor could tell you about if you have to keep a certain GPA to keep the scholarship. It should also be listed somewhere in the requirements for the scholarship.</p>
<p>I'm not familiar with UM but these are general guidelines for this type of thing.</p>
<p>My D received the Ashe (3/4) scholarship from UMiami for this fall, but declined it. UM's scholarship terms are very generous. They do not review your gpa for two years. At that time if your gpa is 3.0 or better you get the scholarship for the next two years, between 2.7 and 3.0 and you get it for one more year and less than 2.7 and you've lost it. </p>
<p>Also, when they say 3/4, they mean 3/4 of all tuition and fees, so as the tuition and fees go up, so does the scholarship amount. They list the scholarships on their web site and the class rank and test scores you need. It appeared to be more competitive last year and many people received a lower scholarship than their stats would indicate. </p>
<p>Also, apply EA. Once they run out of scholarships they won't award anymore no matter how stellar you are.</p>
