<p>Just a friendly reminder for those stressing about the ACT this weekend that the average score for college bound students is a 21. Many of us have CCD (college confidential depression) which leads us to believe the average score is a 32. It's not. So just relax and we will do fine :)</p>

<p>Ivies, and quite a few other selective schools if you want to have a good chance. At less selective schools, a 32 will get you a lot of merit money.
People on this website are more interested in top colleges than the general population. The idea is to compete with your competition (other applicants to the college you want to attend), not ACT test-takers in general.
However, I agree that it would be absurd to come on here and be mad you got a 30 or something because you think it’s a horrible score and the only place that will accept you is community college. Some CCers lack perspective on this.</p>
