just accepted off the waitlist

I just wanted to let people know since I know many are waiting that Washu is going to the waitlist. They called me around 5:30 today (eastern time). They will express mail an admission packet and then we will have 1 week to decide.

I am not sure what I will do since I can not visit do to APs.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Accepted off the waitlist today also! At around 2:30pm central time

Congratulations to all accepted from the waitlist! Where will you attend if you don’t accept Wash U?

I will attend Cornell if I do not go to Washu.

what school did you both apply for/ what major did you indicate when applying?

nervous

Hi Dale2011,
I applied to the engineering school and will major in biomedical engineering if I attend.

I wish you the best of luck!

if you don’t mind answering this…

did either of you apply for FA. I heard they don’t accept ff wait list if you’ve appled for it

I applied for FA and got a call today as well. Also a College of Engineering applicant

They may not be need-blind, but that doesn’t mean they will accept 0 who need financial aid, as seen with the above poster.

Hi morgsmom,

I did not apply for financial aid. I do believe that is relevant because Washu is not need-blind. I hope you/your child get the opportunity to consider Washu regardless of your need for financial assistance.
I hope that answers your question

If I don’t attend Wash U, it would be Tulane with a 20k/year merit scholarship; hard to turn down…but I plan on majoring in biomedical engineering also, which seems to be much stronger at Wash U. Any input?

…and I applied for FA, only because a merit scholarship was offered (which I was not awarded) through my school that required the FA application

I got in too! They took me off the waitlist and called me. Now I have a week to decide whether I am going… And I applied for FA too

When will internationals find out?

anyone get in college of arts and science?

i got in college of arts and science yesterday. I applied for FA, too.

I really hope FA at WashU works out if not i will go to American with 20 k/year merit scholarship.

Any international students get in?

Just wondering- did anyone who got in off the waitlist send updates/maintain any sort of contact with their admissions officers?

If you didn’t hear if you’re off the waitlist by now, is it safe to say you’re not getting in?

D just got the phone call an hour ago offering her a spot which she turned down
she didn’t show any interest - never spoke to admissions person there or sent anything in.

I just got offered a spot into arts and sciences. I didn’t do anything but send in the reply card and didn’t apply for FA. But they only gave me 24 hours to decide. Did anyone get more time?
