Damn, the waiting is killing me.

Right there with you johnson2015

sigh… waiting…
i hope washu would begin the second round soon. :(

has anyone heard of anyone getting in since May 4th?

I got in off waitlist on the 23rd.

Any international students get off from the waitlist?

I’d guess if you haven’t been notified yet, it’s probably over for you.

I guess it’s probably over :(

I wouldn’t give up yet! Remember, lots of WashU kids are on other waitlists (which some get off of) too! I wouldn’t be surprised if they made a couple more calls throughout the summer.

Because they didn’t need to fill that many spots to begin with, and it seems their 1-3 waves have been sufficient. At most there’d be one more wave, but it seems unlikely – hence why I said I’d guess. If you don’t like my comment, then ignore it.

With lack of housing being a problem right now for sophomores and juniors, they’re more likely to slightly underenroll than overenroll.

I apologize if you have sore feelings over not being accepted yet, but I’m likely more correct than not.

I received a letter in the mail from WashU today saying that my request to be removed from the waiting list has been honored… Hell I never requested to withdraw from the waiting list, where did that come from? (Not that I care anyway, just very perplexed…)

Last year Wash U went halfway down their wait-list. I would argue that the emerging prominence of the common app will force them to go even further this year. There is definitely still hope for all of you. Don’t stop believing!

Last year Wash U didn’t use the waitlist…

I just visited WUSTL yesterday. They said last year they overenrolled and did not use the waitlist at all, and I asked an admissions officer about this year’s waitlist: “it is somewhere in the range from a couple dozen to a couple hundred depending on our responses. You can never seem to predict what crazy 18 year olds do – however, I will say we’re not done with our waitlist yet.” He didn’t say they were necessarily going to accept more off of the waitlist, but they have not finalized their class of 2015 yet.

synny201- “it is somewhere in the range from a couple dozen to a couple hundred depending on our responses” Sorry- not clear what this means. Thanks for giving us info.

I think he was trying to avoid telling me the exact # of people admitted off waitlist this year, so he gave a range instead :/

synny201 - Thanks.

Has anyone heard more information about the waitlist? I’m starting to get anxious…

You shouldn’t be getting anxious. Plan to attend one of the schools you’ve already gotten into and don’t be at all surprised if you don’t get into Wash U.

Our daughter received a letter today stating that they were no longer taking any additional freshmen from the wait list.
