Just another "I just had my interview" thread

So I just had my interview, and it was totally unexpected. My interviewer only asked me two questions:
1. The weather was nice yesterday, what did you do?
2. Do you have any questions about Princeton?

It was more like a casual conversations, one thing linked to another (I kind of forced the conservation to go where I wanted it). So all those questions I prepared for was a waste of time. I probably know more about current events today, than I ever will :D.

well amacing, did you at LEAST TALK ABOUT YOUR ACTIVITIES?

Yea, the thing I did yesterday was courses at Columbia University, which I tied into my interest in chemistry, and then my research, and etc. It went pretty well in my opinion.

I'll jump on this thread rather than start my own.

Had my interview with an 80 year old at my house today. Nobody younger was from the area. It was nice, much easier than i thought it would be (since it was in my house, i thought it'd be weird, but it wasn't). He didn't really ask any of the questions they warn about. He only asked what kind of activities i did, what drew me to princeton, what my academic interests were, etc. Most of the time we just discussed how much princeton rocks. In the "what questions do you have" part, he told me he didn't know much about the student life now, mostly just academic, so that narrowed it down some. Lasted a little over an hour.

My interview lasted about an hour as well

Oh, i forgot to mention...I can't remember if he flat out asked me where i was applying, or if it was just kinda segwayed into, but i ended up telling him every school i'm applying to this year. I wasn't concerned, since my list is short, not too snobbish, and relatively rational, but i just thought i'd warn people who are applying to harvard, yale, and stanford as well as princeton all in the same year that it might come up.

thanks a lot, amacing and clendenenator~!

amacing- did you have any questions about about Princeton for your interviewer? I jsut can't think of any... Most of them are answered in the viewbook or the website or here at cc!

btw, interviewers love it when u ask about THEIR experiences

oh nice taking lessons from this thread.... :) My PHONE INTERVIEW (ARGHHHH) is on friday

may the force be with all of you who have already got interviews, and with us less lucky ones who haven't...
