I didnt get anything and I live in southern california

plc5, where are u from? im from TCIS in Taejon, Korea. not got my mail as yet. my mailing address is in geoje-do, so i guess it takes a while for mail to get to this little town...prospects arent looking healthy for me. Got rejected from duke w/out fin aid.

Stas: 1350 (660V, 690M), 690/680/640, + 2 "hooks" that dont seem to have worked in duke...

I'm from England, so you'd think the post would have got here - but seriously, mail round here is terrible.

I'm about the same as you, callthecops - 1390, 740/680/620, + 2 hooks that didn't work at Georgetown - I am applying for fin aid though.

Good luck :)

what are ur hooks? Mine: started my own company, good research on TCKs that's getting submitted to IBO for improvement of curriculum.

Good luck to you too!

National level musician (both ensemble and solo), and technical work for theatre (regular employment at major venues, Edinburgh Fringe, various tours etc). My Georgetown app was a rehash of all my other applications, and Georgetown don't offer a music major, which go towards why I was rejected (lots of music EC). Also, my Georgetown interview was my only one that really sucked.

Well, 12 1/2 hours to go :)

yeah. i applied for 25K fin. aid at cornell. I doubt I'l get in...how abt u?

callthecops;
Hi!! Never thought I'd meet someone who's from Korea.
I'm from Ilsan(Kyeonggi-Do).
Probably, since I live closer to Seoul, if I do receive a mail from Cornell, I'll get it before you do.
Oh, I was rejected from MIT and Caltech - ah well...
My stats are 1600, IIc800, writing720, US hisory720, Chem800, Phy800 + 3 APs(5) + a few hooks...(KPhO, president of the student council...etc.)

Wow...I never thought I'd be this nervous...
I've been literally glued to the monitor all day long

sempiturn;

you're not supposed to get anything.
mails were sent to international applicants only.

A friend from school was accepted to CAS. Got his letter on Tuesday. He's from Korea and his gov't sends him to school here (private school in NY)

1600!!! WOW. dont worry a bit. ur IN.

callthecops: That's funny - that fin aid's almost exactly the same as what I'm aiming for :)

I just got my rejection letter. :(

I just got that thin envelope. * ****** Rejection*

I guess now that everyone is getting it soo early that it isnt a hoax! thats so weird that rejections are being sent out before acceptances! all those who got rejection letters...soory 2 hear that...im sure u'll end up in another great school!

really? I sent that form of financial declaration thing. So anyways, I'll find out today I guess

Bluedaisy1234: What I meant was most colleges (Cornell included) aren't needs blind for internationals - so internationals who don't apply for financial aid have a higher chance of being admitted at Cornell than internationals who do apply for financial aid.
