Scores: taken in May. I know they're not the most solid, but I'm taking them again in October and actually preparing for them. Hoping to get above a 2000 (maybe even a 2100???! Hey, my PSAT said I'd get a 1700, so...)

-Civil War Reenacting in Gettysburg for the past four years

Courses: Freshman through Junior year

A note about AP's - My school is very stupid about taking AP classes. Basically, their policy is that you can't take AP Biology unless you've done regular Biology. Most AP classes won't count as credits in your core classes but rather count for credits in electives. I don't know if that's how it is at other schools, but it makes it difficult to schedule a bajillion AP's, let alone a ton before senior year. So, in other words, I'm taking about as many AP's as someone at my school can take, except AP Calc.

Math - Honors Algebra II, Regular Level Geometry, Regular Level Precalculus, AP Statistics

Science - General Science, Biology, Chemistry, Regular Level for all

English - Honors English grades 9-11

Cultures - Honors Cultures grades 9-11

Foreign Language - Four years of German

Senior year schedule - Regular Level Calculus, AP Biology, Advanced Regular Level Physics, AP Humanities English, AP US History, AP Economics, AP German

Schools of interest: I'm pretty sure that most of them are reaches, but maybe some of them I could get into? Any opinions?

NYU (Early Decision for CAS) - it's my absolute DREAM to go here (along with about 37000 other people...)
George Washington U
Gettysburg College
Lehigh
Hostra
University of Maryland
Penn State

Any other suggestions of colleges I should go for? I'm going in undeclared. Thank you!

Hofstra* It was six in the morning!...

HAHAH; You're fine at all of those schools, even for NYU. Just make sure that you don't completely screw up the essay. =]

It's a good list. Why not add another NY City school to just be sure. However, I think that you will be fine at NYU.

Will I be fine at NYU because of Early Decision, or just fine in general?

I'm bumping this. Any other opinions? It's great to hear that I'm fine at all these schools, but I'm most paranoid about NYU. Shouldn't my SATs be higher?

your sats could be higher if you want to be safe, but your gpa looks pretty good. No one is really safe applying to nyu, but I don't think theres another SAT test date before the ED deadline with enough time to get your scores back, but I could be wrong. If there is, take them again, and do a bunch of tests before you take it. I find that the math is the easiest to get up quickly, so I would focus on that if I were you. But, you definitely have a good shot at NYU

Hm, does it hurt if you send in your ED application a few days before the deadline? I know that the point is to get everything in early, but...I kind of want to get my scores into the 2000s.

It says on collegeboard.com: "Note: Scores from the October and November SAT administrations are sent by two-day priority delivery to colleges for Early Decision/Early Action (ED/EA) program consideration. Most colleges accept October and November scores for ED/EA programs." Is that referring to October and November of 2008?

Bumping just one more time...

Maybe just one more time...
