Just got my summer homework for APUS...

Have any of you received homework for your APs yet? Mine's not too bad... read 15 chapters, with a test on them the first day back.

you're receiving them THIS EARLY?!?! oh goodness.

Are you trying to show off your course load or something? ...

i got my summer assignments too for ap gov and ap eng, but its not really that early considering wed is my last day lol. and 15 chapters to read is a lot! you consider that not too bad? yikes

mine for AP US is read one of 2 books, "1776" and... something else I dont remember :D
But anyway, after reading one of them, we have to write essays and analysis :D

I know mine...nothing.:P

I got mine already also (our last day of school is Thursday).

AP Bio - Read the unit on Ecology, do a bunch of questions, unit test on day back

AP Chem - this massive packet she gave us on the first 3 chapters

AP Calc - none, we did our summer work the last 2 weeks of school

AP Lit - read 2 books, do some assignment

Not too bad. I have to take 2 required courses online this summer in addition to SAT/ACT study =/

1776 is a good book, I had to read it for 9th grade.

No summer reading here :D

which book do u guys use?

Beefs- No, I was just curious as to what other people were getting. Why would I show off my course load when I'm only taking one AP class?

GreenDayFan- The only reason I don't think it's that much is because for once I'm not taking an summer courses online or at the local community college, so this is all I'll have to deal with.

bluewatermelon- Our school lets out in 2 days, some people in my class actually received theirs last week.

well i took it this year. last summer we had to write 3 essays and write notes on everything up to reconstruction from three books

i dont have much. just some very small work packet for ap chem and one for precal. summer reading for ap lang and thats it!

i hope i dont get any hw. in fact, why dont i just run away from school before they assign hw. then i have an excuse not to do it yay

OP- oh i get it. our school lets out in like two and a half weeks, so i was pretty surprised.

AP US History: read chapters 1-3 of the book and take accompanying take-home test/write an essay, read "Thomas Jefferson: Author of America" and write an essay, and read "The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano, or Gustavus Vassa, the African" and write an essay.

AP English Language: read "The Grapes of Wrath" and annotate the book, and then write a three page paper on a given topic. Also, read 5 essays by people listed on the assignment paper and answer corresponding questions (people include Thomas Jefferson, Martin Luther King, and George Orwell)

Lord of the Flies for Humanities. WOOT! That's all.

I'm probably going to get the annoyingly long calculus packet soon.

AP Bio- Read first six chapters and answer questions corresponding to each chapter in the packet.
APUSH- none, but I will probably read the first six chapters so I can keep up with AP Bio readings
