I gotta say, it was kinda scary.
The interviewers asked some really professional questions.
Economic structures, govermental interference, political perspectives, govermental policies etc etc etc... but it was an awesome interview....
i had so much fun hehe... makes me wanna go to carleton even more

My interview was really different - it was conducted by one of the admissions personnel and was really informal. She didn’t have any set questions and basically just asked stuff like “what do you have going on in the winter?” and “Tell me about some of your interests.” But she did a really good job of carrying on the conversation and asking both casual and professional questions. I really liked her. One of my friends said he was interviewed by a current Carleton senior and basically had to talk himself for 30 minutes straight - all that the interviewer said was “What do you like?” and “Tell me more.” My friend mentioned his interest in biology and the interviewer didn’t even mention that he was a biology major until the end of the interview! It sounds like everyone has a very different experience with their Carleton interview, which is kind of cool.

yeah i know hehe…
oh and i had 2 interviewers hehe they both graduated in 2008.
ur interview sounds like a conversational one ( ofc at the same time professional)
mine was more like a debate hehe and it wasn’ a fair one cause it was 2 to 1 haha.
and ur friends interview sounds kinda… u know

My interview was pretty different, too - I met with a grad student at Yale (I live in CT) who graduated UG from Carleton a few years ago. We met at a coffee shop, so the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Mostly we just talked about my activities and interests - I looked saw that she had the same major/concentration I want to do, so we were able to talk a lot about that. We talked about my activities, and also how both of us really liked the school (she talked a lot about Carleton). Overall, I had a great time (it was a little over an hour).
My interview was also back in October…
