Professor didn't put it on the calendar and I don't go to class.
Since this exam was 20% of my grade and my life is now over (premed), what should I do?

Withdraw, one W on your transcript wouldn’t hurt

You probably can’t withdraw from a class this late in a semester…right?^

Fall semesters are almost over. My last day of classes is tomorrow and then we have finals next week. We start quite early, but still I think most are over within the next few weeks.

The problem stems from the fact that you don’t go to class. I doubt you can withdraw so just stick the rest of the class out I would say. One bad grade isn’t the end of the world (I’m premed as well) and you can always retake the course if you end up with a bad grade.

I forgot to edit this in: Make sure next time that you GO TO CLASS.

which class?

Also, that was not very smart of you.

Get the absence excused and talk to your prof. about making it up.

I had a similar experience with diff eq. But that was before college, and I had the chance to retake it. I think withdrawing or taking it pass fail is out of the question. Retaking it might be the next best thing.

Also, you should take the time to understand how you let yourself miss all of those classes, be it laziness, depression, or something else. People don’t just skip classes like that unless there’s something going on.

you could also try to butter up the professor a little bit to see what he will do, but I doubt he’ll do anything.

The problem you are facing is that since you don’t go to class, the professor has no motivation to help you out at all, for example by letting you take the exam late but with a hit to your grade.

You immediately called/emailed your prof (with whatever professional communication standards s/he prefers) with a heartfelt, emotional apology, right?

You’ve gone immediately to his/her office hours and thrown yourself on his/her mercy?

How have you been doing in the course so far? How much is the final worth?

No sympathy here. You should have gone to class. After all, that is what you pay for…an education…right?

I overslept for my exam so i went to talk to the professor immediately.
I took the exam the next day, thank god :)
