Unlike most people here, I haven't been sucked into the college application process just yet. I'm an incoming junior in a college town, which means educated parents, which equals hell for kids.

Rather than being "chanced", I'm looking to cc-ers for advice on possible college options. I don't have a profile of my grades, classes, ECs, awards prepared but I shall name those that I take seriously. Hopefully some helpful advisers can critique my life and offer suggestions (college names) for possible application.

First off: simple background.

non-native english speaker (known english for 4 1/2 years; no, I don't need to take TOEFL)
have yet to take the SAT- expecting 2250+
Rationale: Because my mom is a SAT freak. To live is to score high.

Subject test to take: Chem, Math 2, USH + expecting good results
Rationale:
Chem- Aced honors chem (very close to AP at our school)
Math- I'm asian (lol)
USH- history buff

Classes + Grades:
Your stereotypical asian grades.

"Passion":
Curiosity and audacity can be virtues or vices. I love research and the excitement of venturing in unexplored areas. Side note: My dad works 500 miles away while I live with my mom. Their marriage is shaky because I refuse to move. Why? Because of my dedication (or stubbornness) to continue research in a university environment + the activity at school I'm dedicated to + the symphony. Side note over.
On a lighter note: with my friends, I must get to the bottom of their every affairs. This calls for some major facebook stalking.

ECs
Note to self: If I don't take it seriously, not worth putting it down

Violin - symphony (concertmaster), pit (principal first), lessons (11 years), all-state

Research at university - During the summer, may extend into the school year. 500+ hours (expected, have 200+ on my second year).

Academic Superbowl- team captain on Social Studies (Some MAJOR reading required)

Debate- Policy. All you need to know.

Tennis JV - Just because my mom calls me fat.

oh yeah, we also have the Science Olympiad and Quiz bowl (require less effort than other activities. but with good results just because our surrounding schools suck)

Community Service? hospital.

Awards
Winner of Regional Science Fair (Freshman year- proud)
Scholarship at State level. Also went on to ISEF (International Science Fair)

State Champion- academic super bowl (out of over 600 schools). sophomore.

Debate record (21-3, winning some tournaments)

Some violin gold ratings. REALLY wanting to win a local competition to have a chance to be a guest soloist with the local symphony senior year. (ah, the satisfaction of daydreaming)

Remember: I still have 2 more years of high school to go.

So, this is me, pretty much. Sorry you had to bear the life info of a stranger.

Thanks for reading.
