Kelley/Forest

Hey there, I'm a Kelley direct admit as well as in Hutton. I applied for honors housing in Central as my first option (applied in mid April) and Northwest as my second, yet I was placed in Forest Southeast. Is this going to create some ridiculous walking distances for classes or am I overreacting? Thanks!

It’s a bit of a walk but it’s not too bad. IU’s campus is so spaced out that pretty much everyone is going to have to take a bit of a trek to get to class. When it gets cold or you don’t feel like walking you can just hop onto the D bus right outside Forest and ride it to to the library, which is right across the street from Kelley.

And the good thing about living in SE is that you’ll be MUCH closer to a lot of other classroom buildings that you probably will have some classes in.

Forest to Kelley is about a 20 minute walk for me, but I’m not extremely speedy, you could probably make it in 15 if you had to. I would probably take a bus, but you don’t have to.
