I registered for the following classes for next semester:
BUS-K 204
BUS-L 100
HISP-S 280
MUS-X 001
BUS-T 175
HON-H 233

I recently found out that the HISP-S 280 class is the honors section, which I did not intentionally register for.
Do you have any advice for what I can do to change this? I am on the wait list for 8 normal sections of HISP-S 280, and I am number two on most of them. Is there anything more I could be doing? Thanks for your input!

Are you registered for section 14410 meeting at 11:15A-12:30P Tues/Thurs? I don’t think that’s actually an honors section (no honors credit), it is just restricted to Hutton Honors students. This is probably a bonus rather than something to avoid. But if I’m wrong, or if you really don’t want to be in that section, I’d say you have a decent chance of getting off of one of the wait lists. I guess the only other thing you could do is email the Spanish department asking for clarification on whether or not your section is actually an honors section, and say you didn’t intent to register for an honors section and ask if you can be bumped on a wait list. I have no idea if that would help, but I doubt it would hurt.

That’s the section I’m currently registered for. I think I would like to stay in it if it’s restricted to honors students but not an actual honors class. That would mean he class would be the same as far as content, workload, etc., right? Just with honors students? I’ve contacted the head of the department, who didn’t know, and I have an email out to the professor. Hopefully he’ll get back to me soon. Thanks for your help!
