I'm a transfer student to IU and just got my finite grade back (C).

If I get B's in everything else this semester, and do well next semester, can I still get into Kelley or should I just start taking my SPEA pre-reqs?

Also, I've been looking at the SPEA website and it seems that the Finance program is pretty similar, except the classes are geared towards NGO's and public finance.

Thanks for your help!

I graduated 1987 with SPEA degree and have been in banking ever since. People get all worked up because their degree doesn’t say Business on it. Employers don’t care what you majored in that specifically, just what activities you were in and your GPA.

By the way I have used nothing from my undergrad courses except for a business writing class I took. All the accounting and econ and Business Law has very little to do with my banking career.

Sadly its true that Kelley Is so competitive now that you basically can’t afford a C.

SPEA is great despite what I hear from some people. It’s ranked very high and you can explore some different aspects there.

I advise minoring in Kelley if you truly want to get the Banking job. You’ll learn the same skills as the finance Kelley students.

Go ask a counselor, possibly a walk-in or maybe set up an appointment.
