Kinda Freaking Out

I just submitted my writing supplement to USC, and in my time zone it is 11:10 p.m., dec. 1 which is before the deadline. The common app dates the submission according to eastern standard time, so it is dating my submission as dec. 2. USC’s website states that as long as i submit it by 11:59 on dec. 1 in my time zone, I’ll be considered for merit scholarships. But how would they know that I did that if Common App dates the submission as dec. 2? From what I can see, there is no time stamp included on my PDF?

There is a definitely a time stamp on their end (there is for any college submission) so relax, all good. You submitted it long before the bewitching hour, they will see that. Good luck, it can be a long couple to few months ahead…hang in there.

@CADREAMIN Thank you! I found the timestamp, sorry about the frantic post

Haha this is hilarious because this is exactly me. Submitted mine af 11:50pm in my time zone, which is a 12:50am EST

@playduh1 where did you find the time stamp?

They (school) has incoming time stamp.

@CADREAMIN But do they have they have the time stamp from my time zone?

And @playduh1 said he/she found it, so I’m just wondering where it is

@ZBlue17 Go to the My colleges page on the common app, then click on USC, then click on the tab that says Review and Submit Common or Review and Submit Writing Supplement. There should be a box there that says what day and time it was submitted on. My writing supplement says it was submitted at 12:16 Eastern, so they should be able to make the adjustment.
