Kinda funny

Yesterday, my heart thumped with excitement as I entered home. Finally, after two weeks of fruitless waiting, I had a letter in the mail. Doesn’t matter it was a THIN letter. They would not reject me THAT early, would they? I mean, I’ve heard about Early Admission, but Early Rejection? Anyway, my fears were dispersed when I read the beginning of the letter, you know those first words usually tell the whole story. And it began with “I am delighted” Oh my God, I’ve been admitted, yes - YES! Reading a litle bit further - “that you chose to apply to Bowdoin” …Well, anyway, the letter was an exceptionally late notification. One should not get too excited with the first line.
