i'm afraid if i go to QU, i will be surrounded by only athletes and kids driving their bmw's and stuff. But that is only based on what i've read, i've heard it is kind of a snobby campus, but when i visited i liked it for the most part. But i'm just a little worried about fitting in...i'm from the west coast, which i heard its hard to fit in if you are from out of the new england area, is that true?

i want to go somewhere that is going to have a large range of diverse people, and i guess i'm just curious if QU would fit that discription at all.

It's the same thing everywhere. And according to your username, your a big tennis fan so you'll fit right in. Lots of people at Quinnipiac love tennis. Hit the courts! And rip that backhand :)

QU does not have a very diverse student body, although they are working on that. I would go on the accepted student chat site and talk to those who are planning on going. See if you hit it off

Chris:
i don't think i'm going to be able to make it out there...i'm from oregon, lol so that makes it a little tough...i visited in november though and really liked the campus and everything. i'm guessing you're going to the accepted students thing...?

I'm in Massachusetts so it is like a 3 hour drive. I am waiting for some friends to get accepted so we can go together. :)

I'm just worried about the financial aid package though. Quinnipiac is VERY expensive for a school not tiered very high. It's like $45k a year! If I only have to end up paying $20k a year, I would be a happy camper.

Yeah, that's where i'm at, too. It all depends on my financial aid package. Like no one has heard of QU over here. lol. When i say its towards the top of my list, people are like, "Oh...cool?" lol. But my best friend goes to bentley college and says a lot of people over there say it is a very good school, so time will tell. I still haven't gotten my financial aid package, do you know when we are supposed to get it?

i’m not from new england, and i have had a hard time fitting in, just so you know. i’m transferring at the end of the year, but i do know someone from oregon who goes here and they like it a lot, but there is not a very diverse student body at all

I, too, was accepted to QU just recently. I never really been out of my own outside of california before (hence the name B&R’n’CA- born and raised in Cali.) but I thought it would be a life changing experience for me and a good way to just meet new people… in another state… and if I meet people from the west coast (like yourself) there that would be awesome too. At least I won’t be home sick too much!
