Hello,
I am currently doing a masters program but it is a one year masters program, and I dont have grades for it yet. I have tried to get transcripts for the program but the school said it is impossible because I have not received any grades yet and I have just started taking classes. How do I address this to schools who require transcripts from all colleges attended?

I have the same problem! We cannot get transcripts in my Master until is completed/paid for!

Contact the places that you are applying to, and tell them about your situation. Ask them what evidence they need for your current enrollment.

I have already asked the schools and they say its fine because I already got a letter of enrollment from my school which include my grades as well as the dissertation project I am working on right now. However, there is a difference between the word fine, and how the professors will feel when they are reviewing my application.

That brings me to another question:

I am curently performing an independent research project with a professor and I started in October which is too early for me to ask the professor for a recommendation.

I am also simultaneously working on another research project (more like a research assistant where they tell me what to do).

However, I have no recommendations for these on-going research experience becauase to be sincere I just started two months ago. So if I include these on my application- where is the proof??? I was going to put my advisors down as references in my CV but they will be unable to know me well enough. They might know me better by January, february but that would be late

Is it a one year masters too? Also I dont get grades for the one year masters until next year. What makes it funny is that the one years masters is sueless to my PhD application and I am probably qualified just with my undergraduate. Hoever, I used the one year masters to get research experience in the school (Since profesors would take you on if you are in their schools for research)

@katanaji,
has this been a problem for you when applying for the PhD programs? The fact that you do not have a transcript from your masters program?

Also when do you complete your degree- Apparently I graduate in December but I am done in August- dont know how that affects my chances

I will finish in October. However, this is the official degree ceremony; my exams are in my May and the deadline for my thesis is in August. I plan to finish my thesis early, and I mentioned this in the “additional informations” part of the application. It is all I could do really, and I can only hope it was enough. I do not see why they would not believe us.
