@Jcara514 Our mail came at 3:00 and we did not get anything either.
@ididagoodjob I donāt think going guarantees acceptance but I would think not going especially when you live in the state could be a strike against you.
This is one of the reasons why I dislike the whole chance me, stats thing. I donāt have a document ready to cut and paste at any moment to measure up or be measured up to someone else. It causes comparisons and it does not tell the entire story.
@rphmom8 - CONGRATULATIONS!!! A blessing!!
Son received the acceptance packet today.
31 ACT, 97 avg. decent ECās (sports especially). No merit aid unfortunately. He received a $25k per year merit award from Trinity, so that is looking rather appealing.
CONGRATULATIONS!
I feel for you. It makes no sense, to me at least, that someone from the 130 shortlisted finalists for the Marquis Awards would not even be offered admission. It is only mandatory to be invited as a finalist, and to attend the Dynamic Assessment, to be eligible for the āFellowshipā. For all the other Marquis awards, everyone is eligible, including those not even invited for the Marquis Dynamic Assessment. Letās just hope the issue is with the mail, and you shall get your package tomorrow.
Anyone in Florida get a package? I just moved so maybe my mail is screwed up. Although I also probably got rejected lol. Do waitlisted people get mail
Saying a prayer for those of us that didnāt get a decision yesterday. Hoping that today will be a good day ???.
Ugh. Looking bad for DS. Nothing on informed delivery, not even an item with no image. So sad as this was his #1 choice and his stats are well above the average.
DS accepted. Received package yesterday (SW PA). No merit money at all. He has many other options, most with generous merit aid (in fact, Lafayette is the only acceptance that hasnāt included merit). So weāll sadly have to pass.
For those who are curious, he has a 4.0 gpa, 1430 SAT, many APās/Honors, good EC. We are still waiting to hear from 3 more colleges this week. We will be so glad when this process is over. The COVID-19 challenges have made an already anxious time even more anxious! Peace to everyone in the midst of this.
@four4college Same here. No package yesterday. Stats well above average. In line with some or most acceptances. Sometimes itās just a mystery.
Same here - no package - stats well above average. Nothing on informed delivery here today.
I guess we will have to wait until 4:00 today to find out for sure but Iām not optimistic. I really wish they just posted it on the portal like most other schools and then sent out the mailer. Such a hard wait if you didnāt get what you were hoping for.
DD didnāt get anything yesterday either. Stats above average, lots of leadership, volunteer experiences, ECās, already accepted to Case Western, American, and Fordham. And she is a legacy! (I went to LafayetteāMom). Iām worriedā¦
TBH, i wanted to post on their IG page last night that they should rethink how they are notifying their prospective students. But then I thought better of it because I didnāt want to give my kid a reputation for having the problem mother. This is the first of our 11 decisions so far that everyone did not get notified at the same time (outside of ED, EA & special programs) and itās stressful during an already stressful time. Iām not sure if this is how they do it every year.
I just dont get why they couldnāt put it on the portal if decisions were final. it puts much unneeded stress to send out letters first

Just curious if those of you who were not given any FA or Merit were invited to or in attendance at the Marquis Assessment Experience?
I think they should have just put decisions in the portal on Friday when they mailed decisions. Why subject students and their families to unnecessary angst. I am so over this process. For those of you who donāt get the news you want , just remember that there are lots of great schools out there. Your student will get into one of them and will do well.
