Good recommendations and a good essay.
No interview.

Really don’t know what is gonna happen. I’m afraid my sat score is too low.

I have a question. If anyone can answer it that will be great.

Given that an international applicant gets in, will the financial aid award be included in the email?

@noumannaveed are you caucasian? I think your SAT score is good; I’ve learnt that the admissions process is based more on who you are than numbers. So relax. I’m not too sure about the second question,but I think they said the financial aid award letter comes shortly after the decision letter.
BTW , did you receive a newsletter? I’m just curious on why we would be getting such after the decisions have been made.I don’t know…I’m just wondering…maybe it’s computer-generated

@SmartBeast Thanks for the reply.
Yeah. I’m caucasian. You can say that.
While the admission process is more than numbers but at the end of the day numbers do matter.
Haha. Yeah I do. And I’m glad to hear that it is just not me who is getting these emails. They are probably computer generated.

@noumannaveed have you or your counselor been contacted by Lafayette since you submitted? I don’t know if it’s usually done,so I want to know.

About the newsletter, I got one two days and freaked out for a second because I thought it was that early thingy.lol.

Only 248 ED acceptances this year, much less than the number of 18’ and 17’ :-ss So nerve-wracking

@legend260 ED I and ED II are different .I think Lafayette reports the whole thing. In fact, I think we are lucky since most of the ED acceptances are coming from ED I.This is very probable looking at last year’s data that says ~300 students were accepted ED.

also, if you are a girl, way more girls got in!

Yes @slimshady4556 .I don’t know why Lafayette seems to be liking girls. Idk. FYI, I’m a boy :)

Probably because generally girls have a lower yield rather than boys do at Lafayette. Lafayette is actively trying to even out the gender ratio (as of right now it is 47% female and 53% male), and by accepting more girls ED, they are guaranteed that many girls in the class @SmartBeast

@slimshady4556 shouldn’t that number be let to even out by itself? Shouldn’t it just be based on qualification? Lol.

I think international students are in for some pressure ; only about 25 of us were accepted. That is something to be worried about. :)

@smartbeast thanks for keeping us calm!!!

@johnnykatsenbog you’re being sarcastic right?? :)

@smartbeast yesss i am im so nervous i just have a bad feeling i wont get in ! good luck though!

How many international applicants do you guys think apply Early Decision?

@johnnykatsenbog IDk about internationals ~670 ed applicants they were last year. This is ed i and ii combined,so it doesn’t tell much…

I would just advice you to chill. I am nervous too and seriously want to get admitted. There’s nothing we can do now . Goodluck!
