@235trutme Same here. Did you get invited to a DAE?
@gigichuck yup
Is there a group chat for accepted Students? And does anyone know the number of students who applied?
Did anyone who applied for the Tuition Exchange scholarship hear back yet?
@gigichuck @235trutme same here. I assumed a no when it wasn’t in the acceptance letter.
@seniorhs123 - no word on TE here either
Update: I got the Marquis scholarship
@gigichuck How did they inform you?
@Stillthinking123 It was listed in my financial aid package, which they emailed to me today
Do you guys think there will be any more merit aid/scholarship info sent out? Kinda panicking
Accepted but without merit aid. Not worth the sticker price. We’ll be going with another option.
Do a lot of people get waitlisted?
Butterfly1998,
The following is from last year (current freshmen) Common Data Set:
Total applicants - 8469
Acceptances - 2609
Enrolled - 680
Waitlist offered to 1708 applicants
Accepted by 412 applicants, and 111 eventually enrolled
Does anyone know where the form to accept a spot on the waitlist is? I can’t find it
The url is in the letter you received from them.
Anyone here staying on the waitlist?? if so… what ru doing to show school ur interested other than email?
Will there be any chance of financial aid if I am accepted from the waitlist?
@bennyj Policies might differ between schools but in general colleges do not give aid to students picked up from the waitlist. Definitely not merit aid. And even schools that label themselves as “need blind” covering 100% of demonstrated need don’t apply this to wait listed students.
@bennyj for what it’s worth, the letter from Laf did say students taken off the waitlist would be eligible for aid. No details on that, ie merit vs FA and what size those awards would be though.
@seniorhs123 @carriebshopper - my DD was on the waitlist and asked about TE. She was told they have met their quota. Hope you both received it!
