Im attending UMiami as a Marine Science/Computer Science double major next fall and want to know what everyone thinks about technology for class. I already have a 2016 MacBook Pro and am perfectly happy with it. As a developer and computer science student, it does everything I could possibly want.
However, I’ve also been playing with the idea of purchasing an iPad Pro 9.7" w/ Apple Pencil for a variety of reasons. I like the portability of the iPad and feel like it could be more beneficial for a lot of classes like Math, Physics, and Chemistry where traditional typed notes don’t work out so well because of the math involved. I’ve heard iPad’s w/ Pencils handle this extraordinarily well. I also have looked into buying one to use as an eReader, textbook reader, graphic design tablet, and movie screen.
What are your thoughts? I am taking the MacBook Pro regardless, but is it also worth it to buy a iPad?
