Laptop locks

Yep as long as you close the door, I think it gets locked. It was like that for East Lo as well.

No, our memory of orientation deteriorated a couple of hours after.
LOL! jk. Yeah, it “autolocks” when you close it.

you can leave it unlocked and closed…

otherwise people would be locking themselves out of their dorm rooms all the time

hmm i thought that it closed automatically and if you accidentally locked yourself out, you would have to talk to the dorm building services people to borrow a key.
And who doesnt have their keys with then at all times lol

trust me, it happens. especially in the morning

your key is the id card

I really don’t think insurance is necessary.Just make sure the door is locked when no one is in the room.Report any kind of suspicious activities in your hall. And make sure your window is locked also.

Well, insurance on a laptop would be nice to have if it’s a really high end laptop. Accidents happen… spilling drinks… dropping it… power surge… Even the most careful person could get screwed over by himself/herself/others.

If I got a MBP ($2k), I would get insurance. I have a pretty ordinary laptop ($500), so I didn’t find it necessary to have it insured. I’m going to take care of it, of course, but for what it’s worth, I don’t care too much.

I love my laptop too much

but then again I probably won’t get insurance…
