I currently stand at a 26 from Feb( 25E,30M,23R,26S). I went from a 24(26E,25M,22R,22S in Sep)

What's the highest point increase anyone here has witnessed? lol.

I'm aiming for a 28.

4 points is very doable…
i had a friend get a 21 and work really hard and get a 27

^^i actually stand at a 26 right now.=P

25-29 in a month.

Aiming for 32.

^^how much did u study to get to a 29?

work on english! if you have a good command of the language, it should be very easy to move up to scores in the 30’s.

My friend went from a 17 to a 25 in a month or so.

i went from a 26 to a 30 in 12 hours of prep, 8 points in english alone, 26 to a 28 is extremely doable

Koreanboi-

I did practice tests. Most likely 3 total over a course of a month or so. very mild prep. I can say however just from prep i would have only went up 2 points. The other 2 came because i fell asleep on science the first time and got a 20. Everything else also went up though.

I don’t mean to hijack this thread, but I didn’t want to start a new thread: Anyways how hard is it to increase your ACT score compared to raising your SAT score? I took the plan test (in like November) with no prep and got 99% math (like 29?), 100% Reading (like 32?), however I struggled with English 80-85% (like 23?) and science 90%. Anyways, I know I’m going to take the SAT, but thought it might be worth it to try the ACT.

Went from a 29 to 34 with some preparation, (practice tests, and a few study sessions.)

33 first time, no prep (:

Its customary to read the title of the thread before you post.

was something about the word INCREASE hard to comprehend?

Last year:
English - 28
Math - 32
Reading - 26
Science - 24

This year:
English - 34
Math - 35
Reading - 34
Science - 26 <— This annoys me!

SilentAzn,WOW,that is a BIG improvement,I’m really envious too…how’d you manage to improve your eng and reading scores like that,

please tell me :)

I went up 31–>32 by just retaking it
but my essay stayed at an 8

thus this time I hope to study and then get a 33 and maybe a 12 on the essay (that would be WONDERFUL!)

26 to 33

i barely knew anything about the test the first time. then i prepared the second time and did surprisingly well.

Went froma 26 –> 29 just by studying for a month or so. I knew little about the ACT the first time. I heard that the ACT is supposed to be easier than the SAT, but the SAT proved better for me in the longrun (2110).

AKittka!!! WOW that’s impressive,I got 27 on my first test (without any prep),how did you study for it? what’s your strategy (for each section except math,im pretty confident on that section)

haha I just became really familiar with the test, especially the timing. Timing is key. I read the reading passages efficiently. The questions were fairly straightforward so if you read carefully and efficiently I think you can do well. For Science I went right to the questions and looked for the answers in the data or whatever. I found that it takes too much time to read each passage and that I get bored and discouraged if I don’t understand the experiments. For English, I actually went on sparknotes and studied the tips they have for ACT English. For Math, I had taken the Math II SAT II a few weeks prior so I was over-prepared and got a 36 haha.
