Last Chance Thread... EXTREMELY worried!!

<p>Hey guys I'm OOS for all the schools I'm applying to. I just want to get away from where I live.</p>

<p>HS: Crap School (Didnt have a choice. I live in a crap state). I've taken the most rigorous course load they offer (7 APs). Usually, I'm the only one in my class to pass the AP tests (4 4's). We have about 10-12 kids in all of our AP classes. I'm in AP CAL AB, AP Microecon, AP US GOV, and AP English Lit for my senior year. I'll probably take 4 AP tests this year (Most likely self study for bio and env. science).</p>

<p>Rank: 2-252 (Had 98.5 average at beginning of year and now I have a 97.5, which is what was sent for my mid year report)</p>

<p>GPA: 4.0/4.0 </p>

<p>ACT: 30 (Does the CR of the SAT correspond to the reading section of the ACT (34) or does it correspond to the English (32) section?)</p>

<p>SAT IIs: 730 - US History, 730 - World History, 750 - BioM (January)</p>

<p>ECs: Sports. Mentioned on my app that varsity athletics usually took up most of my time. </p>

<p>Recs: Pretty generic ones I guess. I only got to peek at one and she "praised" me alot, but it wasnt anything personal like a story or w/e.</p>

<p>Essays: Good, I guess. Dont have anything to base this on. Didn't read too many sample college essays. My two supplement essays for UVa were pretty good, I think.</p>

<p>So, please chance me for: USC, Vanderbilt, NYU (Not Stern), UT Austin (Natural Sciences), UVa (Arts and Sciences).</p>

<p>PS: I'm Asian. Disgrace to my race huh? hahaha..</p>

<p>You should get into all of your choices–although Vanderbilt is the toughest of those listed, and could be a reject.</p>

<p>Yea, you have good stats for all those listed. Vanderbilt is a little iffy, but you’re probably in.</p>

<p>You look to be just fine for those schools, I wouldn’t worry too much about them except maybe Vanderbilt which is a legitimate reach for you. Good luck!</p>

<p>Thanks man…but ya I think Vandy might just be a little harder…I know people say UVa is extremely difficult to get in OOS but can their average ACT for OOS be over 29-31? I don’t know about the middle 50% but I’m just guessing the average…UVa actually recomends SAT IIs so I guess my scores will help a little since they both pertain to my major…</p>

<p>You have to realize though, that with these schools, its usally a crapshoot. You have the scores.</p>
