Last semester GPA before transferring?

From what I’ve read on this forum, I understand that the grades earned during last semester before I transfer (assuming I am admitted) will not be viewed during the application process, but rather I need to maintain a certain GPA or risk my acceptance being rescinded.

My question is what is the GPA that is usually required to maintain for the last semester? I’ve heard it is usually a 3.0, but are there any scenarios where this GPA may be higher?

I just finished my first year at a CCC and I’m on track to transfer in 1 year. I will be applying this fall as an engineering major (CS, CSE, or EE) to different UCs, and I’m worrying because my courses are in sequence and my last semester will be difficult. I’ll be taking the last math and physics, required for my major, along with 2 other courses and I’m worried that since these are important classes the GPA I need for the final semester will be higher than 3.0.

Also my first choice is UCLA.

Obviously you’d want to keep your GPA as high as you can during your last semester, but I know for the other UC’s they all ask a minimum of 3.0 GPA after you’ve been accepted.

A very competitive program I was accepted to required a 3.0 and no C’s.

Alright thanks!

I’m a math major and took calc 3, lin alg, and diff eq along with a programming and foreign language course (so like, half my major pre-reqs lol) this Spring before transfer. I was asked to maintain at least a 3.0 by 2 UCs, but nothing higher.
