Hi all,
I'm currently a sophomore at an NYC TT day school. I have been very miserable there, and was going to apply out this year, but decided to apply to a few semester programs instead. Now, I'm not having a lot of luck with the semester schools, and am wondering-although it's a long shot-if anyone knows of any boarding schools or even day schools that would let me submit an application late/are easier to get into? Thanks so much!

This has been asked before. You can start here:

It depends on what type of school you’re looking for. Any schools with rolling admissions will not be the GLADCHEMMS/HADES schools, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be great options (and there are some high second tiers). Also, please keep in mind that you do have other options if you are really miserable. You can try public school, charter school, or even home school- even if just for a year until you can make it into a prep school. Explore options, and lots will become very clear to you.

Anyways, I made a search on Boarding School Review (which is slightly outdated but still has good info) with some basic criteria: United States college prep school (co-ed) with rolling deadlines. You can further limit schools by seeing minimum SSAT scores, sports, or the like. Right here, I’ve listed a selection of schools that I recognized and that have good reputations (some are better than others, but all are good). Baylor, Bolles, Christchurch, Foxcroft, The Gunnery, Hill, Holderness, Hun, Kimball Union, Lawrence (not Lawrenceville), Northfield Mount Herman, Peddie, St. Anne’s-Belfield, Stony Brook, and Virginia Episcopal all have rolling admissions. As you can see from that list, there are some very, very good schools with rolling admissions. Feel free to ask me any more questions! Good luck!
