<p>Is there some way to get the most current list of available work study jobs? My S has been using the list that's on eLion, but all of the jobs he has called about are gone, and some of the people have told him their jobs were filled quite a while ago. So that list seems to be pretty outdated. </p>
<p>Is there somewhere else where he can find current listings? He's looking for a summer work study job, so we're rushing to find something quick. (We weren't notified that he had gotten work study for the summer, and just happened to spot it on his eLion page a few days ago. Otherwise, we would have started looking much sooner.)</p>
<p>I know the Chemistry department loves to have work-study students even for the summer. If he's into science or related fields, he can speak to Philip Stemple in 12 Osmond or Michelle Brown in 211 Whitmore. I used to work there both semesters last year. I'm not sure where you can find current listings, but there are usually signs posted around campus. Just look for them. I believe you can keep looking even if the summer session started, just make sure to have the work-study extension so they don't take it away.</p>

<p>The outdated listings are a pain for both sides. For the staff, I'm sure it's annoying to be still getting calls about work study gigs that were filled long ago. The listings don't include e-mail addresses for the contacts, just phone numbers, so you have no choice but to bug the people by phone.</p>
