"Average" essays

tia

Intended major: Havent really decided yet.. but Computer Engineering or Accounting/Finance (leaning more towards computer engineering)

oh well if thats not your rank then you should be good. being a minority helps of course, and your grades are pretty decent. your sat could stand some improvement, maybe try taking the act or something. also, theres no excuse for average essays, get someone to help you make them awesome. good luck.

Your college courses will help you much more than your SAT scores. I think you have a pretty good shot. By the way, minority status is not supposed to affect admission decisions at Florida public universities.

I am also a black male with green eyes. UF likes minorities so much. I had lower SAT's and a lower gpa but since my EC's were football, and i was a minority (sad but true), I got in. Your income right now shouldn't play too much of a factor right now. When i got in i was struggling because my brother was going to tennessee and my dad was my football coach. I was making around the same salary as you are right now. The only difference is that in about 1 year three months i will be receiving a "signing bonus" for over 2.5 million dollars. That has played a big role in my acceptance to Florida. Just keep your head up high and always remember Uf really likes other races and cultures.
