Thanks TeachernMom, I'm glad to hear that as freshmen in A/H, they have priority to get back into it the following year.
Funny, on the housing site it states A/H is only for freshmen but that's obviously not the case.

Fact: When left to do it themselves, most students wash their sheets and towels ONLY ONCE A SEMESTER!

Eeewww... Since CC wants me to make this message longer, I will make a rather crass comment. Students supposedly like to "do it", I don't think I could have been persuaded to do the deed on a 3-month old sheet even when I was a teen with raging hormones :D

Those sheets must be grey and smelly.....I agree with the Eeeewwww!

as a student I tried both methods, "service and do it yourself" and found the do it yourself so much easier because I could just do it on my own time...which for my friends and I ended up being around 10 or so at night when we were just chilling in our apartment watching tv..and superior is good for detergent as it is very close by..or buy some when you move in and it usually lasts the year or at least half a year (depending on how regularly you wash)

and yes, apartments and dorms with no air conditioning are the worst! I just moved into my summer housing and for the first time in 3 years have air conditioning...I can't believe I was missing out on this!...I just always came to accept that college housing was super hot..lol...all the little things that you take for granted...haha

I laughed at all of your gross sheet stories...eww...just the thought that at the end of the year you just tossed them makes me feel gross...

Has anyone yet received the brochure regarding housing and such and that apparently allows one to order linens. I've heard that this should have been mailed by now.

Sequoia: Are you talking about in the U.S. postal mail or e-mail?

US post...

Sequoia: Nothing in the US postal mail here recently from USC. Did you receive something?

We only have the Living at USC booklet that was sent with admission. Inside that there on page 19, there is the info for URSC Linen Program www.rhl.org/sca . Other than that, haven't received anything new. Is there something else they'll send us in the summer?

My D said that apparently an RA on the facebook group said that we should be receiving some material. He indicated that it was probably sent out already. But I haven't received anything. Evidently no one here has either so I think it will just come later, and that the RA wasn't aware.
Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something in the mail.

it's a good idea to inform each other of things that we receive, Sequoia. Things get lost in the mail.

Received the brochure in the mail today. Various "paks" of linen choices and other accessories, with order forms included.

The linens brochure arrived here today too. Do people think everything in the brochure is a necessity? Also, how are the towels and pillows? It looked like most of the colors appeal to girls.

you guys are lucky, you get mail on Sat, I wonder how long it will take to get to me, another 2 weeks?

does it say in there whether they deliver to outside of US?

bmom there's an option to have them delivered to USC and available for pick up on Aug 20 at McCarthy Square.
Shipping is by UPS (free). I didn't see any indication of outside US options.

I also received the brochure today. I wonder can we get all these stuffs at Target or BBB?

thanks Sequoia.

on the Bed Bath and Beyond website, they do have a Shop for College page. I don't know if they have them at the store.

I have a lot of BBB 20% coupons. I hope to make good use of them. :D

Macy's is also good with the coupons.
