Considering there was much fretting over the large increase in ED applications and the consequent (probable) drop in the admit rate, I bet most of us here are wondering about the numbers. Would you be so kind as to share them...if you have them, of course.

Congrats to all accepted and Good luck to all deferred--you still have time!

I am actually quite surprised...they admitted some studetns with low stats (I am one example)...I am very curious about the admission statistics...

However, I remember Laxfan saying that John Latting is the one who officially releases these numbers...so I don't think that Laxfan can give us any information about them...

they admitted 478. 1004 applied. i read the website.
and i also learned that all emails were sent between 10-10:20.
and so why do i not yet know?
do you think they still show your financial aid package if you are rejected? this is my only hope. the fact that i got money on my isis.

My sister at Hopkins said that some buildings were closed today due to the weather. I hope this didn't disturb the ED email release.

"Once the mail arrives at the post office that it is time for the email to be sent. This will probably happen in the afternoon (EST) but we do not know for sure. The one guarantee is this, an email will be sent out before close of business tomorrow - which is 5:00pm (EST). "

This was copied from the JHU interactive forum.

Let's just hope they stick to their word about the guarantee of a 5:00 pm notification. Twenty more minutes.

For you guys who never got the email, trying checking your parents' emails because I didn't get it in mine but my mom got it in hers... just a little tip.

The emails were all sent within a 20 minute period this morning, as mentioned in an earlier post on this thread. The emails were sent to all of the ED kids who had an email in our system; not everyone had an email on record with us and I'm sure that some people's emails were sent to addresses that might not be their most current email address.

If you did not receive an email in your primary email account yet, you are not going to; they have all been sent. But it would probably be a good idea to check older email accounts, parents' accounts, or any other email address that you might have given to our office at some point.

^^ I've done that. I double-checked my app to see what email I gave. No email. I checked all of my parents emails, nothing. I've even checked my own emails I havent used in over a year, still nothing.

Is there a chance the email address may have been mistyped? Or was a program used that drew directly from the application?

EDIT: Nevermind. I found my answer on JHU interactive. Program error, so I won't get to know my notifcation until I receive a letter in the mail. What a wasted day sitting infront of my computer. I have no idea how I'm going to concentrate on writing a paper now.
