LEAD Business 2011

I am so nervous. I have never wanted anything so bad. I hope I get in. I would really like to go to University of Pennsylvania but at this point I really don’t mind going to any school.

Did anyone receive any news about the program!

Nope!!! Still waiting!!!

I just called them and they said we would receive or status by friday.

Did they say if by email or mail?

I heard U of Illinois people got their emails today. they are going out one school at a time. we should all know by Friday at 2.At least that’s what I was old when I called

So do they send rejections before they send the first batch of acceptances? I would feel a whole lot better.
Also, if Illinois got theirs’ that means all those who applied 2nd session are either going to Michigan and Upenn now?

Please say my assumptions makes sense, that would make me ease up a bit.

OMG! I am so scared. i haven’t received an e-mail. I really want to participate in the program.

Have the letters so far been through email or regular mail?

I called today, they told me I would be notified by email no later than Friday. I am so NERVOUS!!! I want this SOO BAD!!!

Has ANYONE heard from them??? Or know someone who has heard anything???
This is so weird!

My friend who goes to the same school got an email today saying that he made the semifinalists list (if you’re on this list, you MIGHT get to go if finalists decide not to come); however, I have yet to receive anything! :(

did they tell your friend if she was a semifinalist for a particular program (college) or just in general?

I can’t believe we all know so little!!!

^ SCRATCH THAT. I got the same email. :frowning:
I’ll post what it says:

"Our review of applications for the 2011 LEAD Program has been completed, and

it is with great regret that we inform you that we are not able to offer you a place in

this year’s class.

You should know that you have been designated as a semifinalist, in the event

that additional openings become available. Should a spot become available, you

will be invited to participate in this summer’s program.

Your application and interest in LEAD was a positive indication of your motivation

and desire to succeed. I am sure that these qualities will serve you well as you

pursue your educational goals.

ayannaThank you for your application to the LEAD Business Program."

im sorrry!! :frowning: i know how much we all want this!
What time did you receive these emails?

Hey guys, I did LEAD last year. I hope you all get admitted, the opportunities after being designated an alum are what matters. I’m always getting e-mails about internships and jobs that are exclusive for LEAD alum, it just reinforces what a great opportunity this is (not to mention the great people that you get to meet ^_^).

As for WhiteWishes, e-mail Janice Jenkins immediately saying you’re still interested in LEAD and you are grateful that you may still be considered for LEAD in the event that space opens up. Then in a week or two, or whenever you find out when the accepted students have to reply back to hold their spots in LEAD, update Janice Jenkins again with something new that wasn’t apart of your application (maybe an award or something) and say that LEAD is still your first choice for the summer and you would absolutely be willing to go if you were given the chance. Yes, going to LEAD is worth this effort lol. Hope this helps :)

I have not received an email. What does this mean??

Don’t worry! That still doesn’t mean anything. I was told any news could come in by 2 p.m. Friday…Acceptance, Rejection, semifinalist. Crazy right? But yeah, fact that you haven’t gotten an email doens’t mean anything good or bad, according to what I was told yesterday…

Have you, Jane Goldman, received an email?
I really want to get in. I have been checking my email like 5 times a day.

Have not received email, no. Checking email like 10 times a day since last Thursday! Insane!
