yea I joined the group but there is only one other peron in it.

So even though some people got into Cornell and Georgetown, and were probably ranked higher than others, they have to wait for people from the other schools to drop out? That is the worst system ever! I haven’t received an e-mail from LEAD at all yet, does that mean I’m waitlisted? Cornell was my 2nd school and Georgetown was my 3rd.

According to what I have read from earlier posts people are receiving notices of acceptance at all different times, so it doesn’t necessarily mean you have been wait listed.

I just got my acceptance from Duke! Is it as prestigious as Stanford or Upenn even though its only three weeks long? Is any1 else going there?!

Congrats! They’re all prestigious but Upenn and Stanford are at or near the top, definitely Upenn. I’m going to Northwestern University.

Yeah dpasian thats basically it, were ranked higher, were smarter, have higher grades and better leadership qualities but we were screwed over by cornell and georgetown… and yes, if you didnt hear by friday you were waitlisted and will hear by next friday.

hey kisagrl I understand that you are upset but that doesn’t mean it’s alright to put others down… did you ever think that maybe the reason you didn’t make it was because you just weren’t qualified? You need to calm down it’s not the end of the world

okay guys, no need to make things unneccessarily heated. It just seems like if that’s the system they’re using, it’s not very fair nor logical. Congrats to all of you who made it and good luck to all those still waiting, maybe there is hope for the rest of us :)

um… 1. um not putting anyone down, I’m just saying what i know because my friend was accepted and i know her grades compared to mine
2. I’m aware its not the end of the world…
3. I wasn’t talking to you which would be the reason why i said dpasian in the beginning of the post.
oh and 4. I was accepted, then Cornell dropped out which would be the stem of my frustration so I’m pretty sure i was qualified

Hey pnthrs11 im pretty sure that i was actually qualified since i was one of the first people accepted according to the lady, but then cornell dropped out.
Also, im really not trying to put anyone down but my friend got in and her GPA is 6 points lower than mine, i read her essays and they were not as strong as mine, and i saw her recommendations and they were not as good as mine either. So yeah im pretty sure she was less qualified. And if she got in, im sure theres others like her who got in over me.

Yea I understand where you two are coming from if I were in your position I would be mad too, but anyway hope you both get in! :)

I completely agree that you should be angry/upset/****ed I am just saying that for many people on here that are going to penn or stanford or northwestern or even illinois and for you to say “smarter than others” all I am saying that it is a bit elitist

whatever im just comparing myself to someone who got in…

Ok, so I got into Lead at Wharton on Friday, but I have a question…how great is this program? Really. Would you guys choose it over a program at Cornell College that give college credit? And why?

I think you should definitely go to Wharton my sister did the LEAD SBI at Wharton two years ago and she said it was a life changing experience and definitely prepared her for college. Also Wharton is the cream of the crop when it comes to business schools so you should definitely consider that when making your decision, but thats not to take anything away from the program at Cornell I’m just speaking from what I know.

All of the LEAD programs are prestigous, and attendance at any school’s program will further your personal and professional growth. Each school has their own niche and regional corporate sponsors; and a wealth of experience for you to enjoy. Do not think that if you attend one program instead of another that you will somehow have a lesser experience.

anyone have any insight about lead at stanford?? i’m so excited i can’t wait!!
