LEAD Summer Business Institute

I don't know if anyone is looking for any fundraising ideas but umm what I did was I sent out letters to anybody, pretty much anyone I could think of got one. From elementary school teachers to people I have interned with, etc. Thank God that my family is huge (7 siblings on my dad and 6 on my mom), but really your parents coworkers, people you go to church with...you get the picture. Everyone has been so helpful and supportive even though most of them have never heard of Wharton, lol. All the money that you get helps to alleviate the costs put on your parents.. thats my two bits for the night lol

I still feel so blessed to have been accepted to LEAD at Wharton-especially sent I was outright rejected from any type of participation within the Questbride College Match Program- I find it amazing............................

For those of you who actually got into LEAD, could you please tell me your GPA and your leadership showing activities. Also, how did you find out about LEAD, and get the admissions form from? I just want to get ready for the future. THANK YOU!
btw. Congrats.

So that's it of the CCers who go to lead? There's got to be more! Hahah, start facebook searching :P

What's the site?

this is the site: http://undergrad.wharton.upenn.edu/precollege/lead/lead_2007_program.cfm

Duke and PENN do websites I know
it'd be cool if Illinois started, or, better yet, if this '07 class started a website for future Cargill Leaders

countdown to packet: ???

Michigan has a website too
I wish Penn's website was more like Duke's with the yearbook and team pictures and stuff
Acturial are there anyother Illini Leaders on this forum?
Or are there more than one leader from any other school beside Penn?
Looks like LEAD at Wharton rules lol

Robocop and I are both from Dartmouth, and we found a third girl on facebook.

Actuary is an Illini LEADer too.

um i jus got a facebook so if you have one, you can pm me if you want =]

?
in your acceptance letter
did it refer to you as a _____ Leader?

mine said I was a Cargill Leader
just wondering

Yea I was a Mcniel Leader

What do they mean?

im a Goldman, Sachs & CO LEADer...

i wonder if the same SBI's have the same companies?

aren't both of you going to Wharton?

Cargill = MN-based
I'm from MN
Midwest connection with Illinois

LEAD said they place us at specific SBIs with geographic factors being very influential

yea we both are. i still have no clue what it deals with, i personally think its just a name and we are reading too much into it

Hhahaha, yah don't look too big into it. Personally, i'm Goldman sachs sponsored :) and I'm happy about that because Dartmouth is a very economic and wallstreet oriented school and i'm into that stuff. So if it is different sponsors independent of campus, then I lucked out hahaha.
