Leadership clubs

I will be walking into St. John's University in the Fall looking to transfer to some very competitive schools as a sophomore or junior. I am currently an undecided major, but I was wondering how would I start formulating a leadership posotion for a club or organization without a major decided. Most people who start out early have already decided what they want to do later in their career. So should I wait until I have my major decided in second semester of freshmen year in order to join a club and get elected for a top position or should find a club to join right away as a freshmen even if I do not have a major yet? Any help would kindly be appreciated.

Thanks.

Do something youre passionate about, doesnt have to be academic.

Yeah but why join a club that’s not related to your major? Most people take over a club or an organization that is related to their field of study in order to show colleges that they’re passionate about something. I, on the other hand, haven’t thought of something yet and it makes me a little curious about joining a club that is just for fun.

I didnt join one thing that was strictly related to my major

Explore as many clubs on campus as you can. I’ve been in clubs that range from sports to academics. You don’t just have to stick to one club. Try it all- this is what college is about.
