Is it worth it in the long run to maintain a leadership position through the school's student council? At my school it is very selective, a zero period class, where you run rallies and any student related activity. I am a sophomore and as a freshman I was class president and now class Vice President. This year I have experienced tons of stress already so is it worth it to balance this with all of my classes?

If you don’t feel you can be accustomed to the stress and its negatively impacting your grades, then, no, it isn’t worth it. I say stick it out till the end of the semester as see if there are ways you can make your position less stressful. Don’t give up :)

If you really don’t think you can handle it and it’s negatively impacting grades/other activities, then it probably isn’t worth it. However, if you think you can make adjustments to better suit the position (maybe drop an extracurricular: being VP of your class is a pretty big deal) then go for it. :)

That moment when someone says the same thing as you. O.o

^Ah whoops didn’t read your post beforehand! Sorry bout that! :P

Thanks guys! Yeah I’m going to try and stick it out. I feel like I have been doing everything for my class and I shouldn’t be, as I have a president above of myself who should start taking charge instead.
