also i was wondering what yalls GPA is right now? Im really scared because mine went down
My GPA was a 4.3 sophomore year. It was a 4.5 last semester because I got a B in AP Calculus.
wow, I have a 3.67 but ours only goes up to 4.0
you take AP Calculus? Omg I was barely taking dual credit pre-calc and didn’t pass it so my gpa went down by a lot this semester
Yeah I’m taking AP Calc, APUSH, AP Environmental Science, AP Comp, Physics, and Band. Ironically enough, I hate science.
thats so amazing! none of those classes are even offered at my school which sucks. Except Physics.
Hey guys! I found out on Sunday when I made to part II. Super excited for the interview phase if that’s included in part II, because being in Speech and Debate, I loveeee meeting and talking to new people I really do hope everything works out for the best for all of us!!
I take ib classes
I had a 4.6667 out 4 this term, I take AP Calculus AB, Comp Sci, AP Physics I, Symphonic Band
,AP World History, AP English, and I’m taking AP
Macroeconomics at John’s Hopkins CTY. I’m really hoping my county can give me credit for AP Macro, but it probably wont happen.
@shanabanana1 I hate science too ( Natural sciences, I like comp sci), I’m hoping that means you’re a history buff. How are you liking APUSH? I took it my freshman year and that class was a lot of work, but so much fun, because our teacher was interesting, and because American History is interesting. I got a 5 back before they changed the exam, and I heard they made it less memorization, more critical thinking and drawing conclusions.
I take ib classes, 3 hl, 3sl, ap chem, ap bio, and then 2 other college classes on the weekends
You guys are worrying too much! If you get past part 1, then LEDA really wants you in their program! Also, LEDA doesn’t really care about GPAs…as long as you have about a 3.5, you’re good! And the questions they ask are kinda all over the place. I was asked why I wanted to be in LEDA, who I look up to, etc.
Hey guys, I’ve been keeping up with this thread since its beginning and I’m so happy to say I was accepted to the second round. I agree with eggystraws, no one really knows the percentages or chances of people getting passed certain rounds and no one knows the formula to get accepted. Let’s just be happy we applied and have the chance to be part of this awesome community.
I guess I do worry too much lol.
LEDA is asking for my PSAT scores, but I took the new PSAT which only reported two scores, but LEDA is asking for three scores, what do I do?
We all took the new PSAT so I think it will be fine to just put the two scores. Maybe right a note saying it’s the new PSAT would help them too.
@Gunkz123 It won’t let me submit without putting all three scores
I would either put the same score for the reading and writing section, putting in parenthesis saying that this is one subscore on the new PSAT, or just put in one of the boxes saying that the new PSAT only has 2 subscores.
Also, LEDA is VERY helpful when it comes to the application! If you’re confused, email Iris! She is an amazing lady, and she COMPLETELY understands the possibility of confusion!
@leenefc Does your school have ib? Mine doesn’t but I’ve heard that it’s really cool.
