I was just wondering if my sister would be considered legacy. She is doing the Grad Economics Program. I want to apply to UMich for computer science.

Alumni Ties
One of my relatives is a Michigan alumnus; will this be a benefit in the review of my application?
Although not a primary factor in admissions decisions, having a parent, step-parent, grandparent, or sibling who attended the University of Michigan will be considered in the review of your application.
In order to indicate that you have alumni connections to the University of Michigan, when you are completing the Common Application or the Coalition Application, you will be asked to submit educational background information on your parents/step-parents/guardians and your siblings. If you respond that any of your family members have attended or are attending the University of Michigan, this will be noted as your having alumni connections on your application data. Additionally, in the family questions section in the U-M Questions, you will be asked if any of your grandparents attended the University of Michigan; a positive response will also indicate to the U-M that you have these (additional) alumni connections.
