Legacy???

My parents told me that there was a thing called “Legacy”.

Umm here’s a definition from wikipedia since I can’t find the words to explain it
"Legacy preferences or legacy admission is one of the types of preference given by an institution or organization to certain applicants on the basis of their familial relationship to alumni of that institution. "

I’m applying to university of toronto and I don’t see any part on my profile where they ask me about any legacy. I’m curious, does this legacy only apply for universities in US or am i missing something?

Please help! ><

Legacy means your mother or father is a graduate of that school. Did either of your parents graduate from University of Toronto?? If not you have no legacy. Canadian universities do no even consider legacy in admissions.
