LET ME IN OR ILL GO DONKEY KONG ON YOU, please.

i go to NYU and i applied to transfer to UCSB, UCD, and UCB as a junior transfer.

i took the AP calc exam and got a three-- i see that UCB accepts a three as credit, but UCD doesn't. i don't want to take calc--> but if i don't get into UCB, will i lose my shot at UCD since i don't fulfill that requirement?

throw me a bone people
NYU sophomore
3.6 GPA
Biochem major/ sort of premed/ sort of don't know.

can i take this risk or am i about to doom myself

here's a lil summin for the people about to ask me why i want to leave NYU
i love it, its been great, but ive been here for two years and im ready to be out of the city, go home to california, and live a normal life where i dont live 15 stories high in an apartment that has no natural sunlight. oh... and its cold. 75 at home, 24 here today.

I don't really have any information for you but I have a feeling you'll get into UCD, whether or not they accept the ap creds.

you're from cali? are you trying to get in as an out-of-stater or in-state student?

im doing in-state because i still have residence in california

I read somewhere the UCs may be looking for more out-of-staters because they pay more. Maybe apply as out-of-state then change residency once you get in?

I'm applying for transfer from NYU too. Good luck :)

no, pending its the only prereq you're missing. what did you put as your major? You should be okay though. at least for UCD. i also may be wrong.

i put biochem as my major.

i decided to take calc because 1) i just dont want to risk it and 2) i really can't think of anything else to take to fit my schedule that isn't some little elective. i feel that calc looks a bit more impressive lol

anyway... i was also wondering, even tho it may be a bit late to wonder this, if it would be smart or absolutely stupid to leave NYU and go to my local community college for the rest of the school year. Assuming i could enroll, how would this affect my chances at the UCs i applied to???

let me know what you think, since it'd save me a lot of money (i could get 77 percent of my tuition back) and i'd be happier going home.... i really dislike my living situation and am completely over new york.
