Let's Figure out the Curve...

Alright here is my score reports:
CR: Number Right: 48, Number Wrong: 18, Number Omitted: 1, Total Number of Questions: 67, Raw Score: 44 = 590

Math: Number Right: 50, Number Wrong: 4, Number Omitted: 0, Total Number of Questions: 54, Raw Score: 49 = 710

Writing: Number Right: 41, Number Wrong: 7, Number Omitted: 0, Total Number of Questions: 48, Multiple-choice Raw Score: 39 +++ Essay 11 = 680

On a side note, if anyone wants to see my essay let me know.

hmm i got 8 wrong, 1 omit for math -> 660. o_0

i got a 42 raw score with a 9 on the essay: 680, so mad about my essay (i got a 12 on the essay in march)

CR - 52right 12 wrong 3 omit - 620
M - 51right 2 wrong 1 omit - 740
W - 42right 5 wrong 1 omit 10essay - 690

Seems as though the Math was harsh...2 wrong 1 omit = 740 sounds harsh to me.

Hopefully it won't be as harsh on the November one. I'm shooting for oh praise the lord 750+. Anyone know how many wrong/omit that would be in general on a normal curve?

For CR, how many wrong/omit in general for a 700?

Thanks

can someone give me ur score if u got an 800 on writing?

80 MC/ 11 essay

the math went something like this 800 790 760 740 720

SATs suck a lot:

I got 80 MC/11 essay for an 800 writing. The weird thing is that the score report says I got 48/48 correct, when all other tests I have seen/taken have had 49, and I didn't notice any difference in the October test. Is it possible that CB cancelled one of the writing questions?
CR: 4 wrong/0 omit = 760. Curve definitely should have been more lenient. I think 3 out of those 4 wrong were on the MLK passage alone. :(
Math: 0 wrong/0 omit = obviously 800.

Flipsta come on AIM...where r u hiding

tis wsas a harsh curve

math 1 wrong mc 1 wrong grid in = 760
cr 8 wrong = 690
writing 1 wrong 0 omit 10 essay = 780

So I guess it holds true that October has the hashest curve? Or was the myth that October had the hardest test but best curve? Eh oh well

Writing: 11 essay + 1 wrong + 0 omit = 790

Can I see your essay?

For some reason, I have a REALLY hard time thinking about what to write in timed settings. During the SATs I was only able to write a thesis and 1 body paragraph. Ouch.

could the reason for the harsh curve be that the october test is like one of the last opportunities graduating seniors have to take the SAT? so all the smart people regisiter...throwing off the curve.... or am i just out there? lol..

^^

yes, pretty much.

CR: 1 wrong, 0 omit = 800

Math: 4 wrong, 1 omit = 700

Writing: 3 wrong, 1 omit MC= 700 + 12 Essay = 740

I'm really tempted to do a hand score. I'm positive I didn't omit any...problem is I don't know if the "omitted" problems are right...

It wouldn't hurt you. 5 wrong and 4 wrong, 1 omit are both -6. Also writing 3 wrong, 1 omit and 4 wrong are both -5.

d3!ty, I also noticed that I didn't omit any questions on CR but it said I did on the score report

can I see your essay? So I can compare my score- I got 10 on the Essay section.
