Do you care if people watch a lot of TV or eat a lot of fatty foods? I do. I don’t see what is hard about this concept. I’m not saying tattoos are morally wrong or something like. Jeez you guys take everything way too seriously. I love to debate on this type of stuff. It’s completely subjective which makes it great.

Frankly, I don’t care about what someone chooses to do to their body provided I don’t have to pay for it and said person is not somebody I care about.

the only reason i dont want a tattoo
is because when I’m about 70, I dont want my wrinkled skin to make my tattoo look like a ■■■■■■■■ dinosaur.

Frankly, I don’t care about what someone chooses to do to their body provided I don’t have to pay for it and said person is not somebody I care about."

See this is an attitude I hate. I care if other people are unhealthy, making dumb decisions, or suffering from poverty. Sure it doesn’t affect me but I still care about it. Imagine how much this world would suck if everyone held PlattLosers’ point of view.

Not surprising to find this d-bag pretentious attitude on CC though.

I don’t mind tattoos. I wouldn’t get one myself because, well, it’s painful and permanent. But my dad has one. And I know a teacher who has three meaningful tattoos. He told us why he had them and all three were pretty interesting/somewhat sad stories.

if you get a tatoo on your back or something i think that is fine…

you need to make sure its not shown while wearing normal cloths though…

but really when you are 50+ and you have a tatoo on your back, how often willl you really be shirtless? and when i am 60 i know i am not gonna want to look at my self shirtless…

tatoo’s are a art, you only live once, in the end who really cares… if it makes you happy… do it

First off, hatersunite, don’t come on here with that bulls-hit about I care about people. Feeling sympathy about someone living in poverty and b itching about someone having a tatoo are 2 totally different thins.

You seem like someone who sticks their nose into other peoples business and judges. Not someone who cares about the health issues that comes along with getting a tatoo. Im with plattsburgh

Second, I beleive you can get a tatoo removed. It hurts like hell and costs a little, but you can get it removed.

I will be getting my second tattoo for my 18th birthday

My first is a bumblebee on my back(right near my kidney). It is a winnie the pooh bumblebee and i love it. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

My second one is going to be of the little prince flying away on the birds(check the book if you have it) It’s going to be in color…its going to look AWESOME…i’m paying like 500 for it, and i CANT WAIT

i disagree with a lot of people here. Tatoos are beautiful. This summer I was in a bad part of Philly in a neighborhood with broken down houses and empty apartment buildiingsand as I aliighted out of my family’s car… I saw a boy wearing a white shirt walking down the street on his arm was a beautiful inky black dragon so intense with the most beautiful detailing that I ever saw. The tatoo seemed alive. I wanted to know who the boy was and why he got that tatoo so badly. To me, tatoos are intense, gritty, beautiful. To me it says “i am making a statement about who I am or want to be and I am not afriad to carve it on my skin where it will never leave.” Its strong. However, I mean this for tatoos of actual things not promiscous tatoos or things like that. Here’s another example of what I mean-
My grandma has two tatoos. They are tribal tatoos; she never had any choice whether to get them or not. She got them while she was young. Some are carved into her face. The other is her name branded on her arm. Most people would abhor this but i love it. When I see the marks on her face- I see how old she is and how beautiful our culture is. When I see the one on herarm- I think how lucky I am to live in a world where I can make decisions about what I want on my body and who I want to be- where oppurtunities exist. I think getting a tatoo is beautiful to symbolize a person you love or a concept like being yourself or being free. The tatoo could symbolize a resolution- like “i will never let fear rule me again”
I need to go. see you.

You guys must have missed my point. I’m not trying to tell other people what to do. Simply explaining why I wouldn’t do it and I don’t think others should do it.

This board is overrun with hippies.

I think it’s always interesting to see the racial numbers on tattoos. It clearly is a redneck/hippie thing. Only 7% of blacks in the 2008 poll had tats. The public probably thinks African Americans are on the high side.
