Letter asking Mid year grades - Questions

My daughter received a letter from the university asking for mid year grades before they can make a decision. She is really nervous is this a soft deny or there has been cases where once the mid year grades are sent in you do have students who have been accepted ?

If they have been accepted, how soon would they know ? Do they have to wait till April ?

Should she sent an email of continued interest to admissions and attach a resume as well or it would ruin her chances doing extra for her application ?

It certainly isn’t a soft deny. If they wanted to deny her, they would just do it. Clearly they see a reason not to do that and they are hoping to see positive news from a mid-year report. If your daughter has done well, then that is a great sign. If she slacked, well then lesson learned.

Hello. I am taking it as a good sign that they would love to see improvement. My son’s grades have improved significantly since last year so we are hoping for good news. My understanding is that we do not have to wait long for a decision after they submit grades-maybe a few weeks at most. Good luck!

Pitt asked my daughter for a senior sat and mid year grades. She took the sat beginning of December and guess what an acceptance letter came yes. Don’t give up hope. Pitt didn’t even wait to see her mid year grades
