There is one English teacher whose class I really worked hard in freshman year, and I really feel like I ended up improving a lot because of her class.

The problem is that for some reason, I didn't develop an amazing relationship with many of my humanities teachers. However, I think I worked hard in this teacher's class and really enjoyed it. And I still say high to her in the hallways when I pass.

Next year I'm going to have her for AP Lang. Under any other circumstances, I wouldn't ask for a letter of recommendation from a freshman teacher. However, since I'm going to have her for at least two months before I start asking for letters next year, do you think it would be okay to ask? I'm not going to ask now, just in case something happens with my schedule. But if I'm in the class for two months, is it a bad idea?
