Letter of Recommendation from High School teacher?

Do you think it would be acceptable to get a teacher's recommendation from one of my teacher's in high school? I just graduated last year and I'm already ready to transfer so it woudln't be too far away in the past... or maybe asking the principal (who I was close to)? What do you think?

I suppose it’ll be okay, but I know that letters of recommendation from a college professor carries more weight.

^^^No, the CA clearly states on the “College Instructor Evaluation” for transfers:

Unless a college’s application states that a HS teacher LOR is acceptable, it isn’t.

^ especially if it’s from a professor in the field that you’re majority in.

No, you will want LORs from professors or TAs.
