One of the schools I'm applying to says that I can choose to submit a recommendation letter from a high school teacher as a supplement to the other two (one from a professor and the other from a dean) if I deem it would be helpful.

I would love to submit H.S recommendation letter because my H.S stats don't reflect what I was and am capable of. (Though my college stats do...) I think it would help explain a lot of things because this one teacher really knew me and really liked me. We also still keep in touch.

But do you think submitting it is a good idea?

Will it

1.) Be looked upon as desperate?
2.) Will it actually help considering my lack of H.S performance?

I know these are hard questions to answer and no one can really answer them beside the school I hope to attend but any sort of input would be helpful. Is anyone else doing this or plan on doing it?
