So I will be applying to University of Colorado Boulder soon, and need a letter of recommendation. I asked a teacher that I had my freshman year, and also was her assistant during my sophomore year. When I asked her, she said she would be happy to do it, but she suggested that I ask a teacher from my junior or senior instead. Do you guys think that if I take the letter of rec. from this teacher that I would have a worse chance getting in if I had taken a letter from a junior or senior year teacher?
I would listen to your freshman year teacher. She’s giving you excellent advice.
Far better to use a junior year teacher. And please hurry. Teachers are busy and have lives too. It is a lot of work for, them to write a rec. Most people asked for recs back in Sep or Oct.
